Visiting Scholars

Qualifications:

Not currently affiliated with any institution that has a signed academic cooperation agreement with the University.
The purpose of the visit must be academic collaboration and research.
Must be a full-time faculty member, staff member, or researcher at an overseas university or academic institution.

Application process:

First contact the academic unit you wish to visit, or send your CV, research plan, and proof of employment to the Office of International Affairs (OIA) for matching with an appropriate unit.
Confirm your visit dates with the unit and complete the Overseas Visiting Scholar Application Form.
Once confirmed, the unit designates a faculty member to serve as your host.
The hosting unit issues an official letter of invitation.
Scholars holding Mainland Chinese citizenship are assisted with the application for a Taiwan Entry Permit.
The OIA provides the Visiting Scholars Handbook, housing information, and a scholar identification card.
A staff member from the hosting unit serves as liaison, offering academic and administrative support, including assistance with visa applications.

Fee rate:

The service fee should be paid in one lump sum and is non-refundable.
In principle, the duration of visits are up to one year; honorarium for time exceeding one year will be calculated separately according to the above.
