Tampere University

The University of Tampereis a culturally-committed higher education institution with the social mission of educating visionaries who understand the world and change it. 

In its research, the University addresses the central issues in contemporary society. By providing critical knowledge and education, the university helps people and societies to improve their health and their cultural, social and economic well-being.
 
The basic values of the University are academic freedom, creativity and social responsibility. This means that everyone has an equal right to learn, to acquire knowledge, to participate and to make an impact on society.
 
"Tampere University" is created in January 2019 by the merger of the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology, which are joining forces to create a new foundation-based university. The new Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences constitute the Tampere university community.

University of Jyväskylä

The University of Jyväskylä (Finnish: Jyväskylän yliopisto) is a university in Jyväskylä, Finland. It has its origins in the first Finnish-speaking teacher training college (the so-called Teacher Seminary), founded in 1863. Around 15,000 students are currently enrolled in the degree programs of the university. It is ranked as the second largest university in Finland when measured according to the number of Master’s degrees conferred.
