★【Scholarship for Overseas Chinese Students】2026 Fall Semester – Ministry of Education Graduate Outstanding Overseas Chinese Students Scholarship
The application period for the 2026 Fall Semester (115-1) Graduate Outstanding Overseas Chinese Students Scholarship will begin on August 24, 2026.
Eligible students are invited to submit their applications in accordance with the following guidelines.
📌 Legal Basis
- MOE Guidelines for Subsidizing Universities and Colleges to Establish Scholarships for Outstanding Overseas Chinese Graduate Students
- National Taiwan Normal University Regulations Governing the Awarding of Scholarships for Outstanding Overseas Chinese Graduate Students
To promote paperless administration and simplify the application process, beginning this semester, only the Application Form and Recommendation Letter are required in hard copy. All other supporting documents must be submitted electronically.
Eligible students are requested to follow the instructions below.

Regular Graduate Students |
Students who have completed at least one full semester in a master's or doctoral program at NTNU and achieved a semester GPA of 3.38 or above in the preceding semester. |

Thesis Students |
Students who have completed all required coursework and are currently working on their thesis. This category may be used only once during the student's period of enrollment. |
Common Requirenents
Applicants must:
- Have no record of serious disciplinary violations.
- Not hold any other government-funded or NTNU scholarships during the same semester, including scholarships provided by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC).
II. Scholarship Benefits 💰
- Monthly Award: NT$10,000 per student per month.
- Number of Awards: The number of recipients is subject to the quota allocated by the Ministry of Education for the semester.
- Award Period: Six months, from August 2026 to January 2027.
- Suspension or Termination of Scholarship: After the scholarship has been awarded, payment will be suspended if the recipient takes a leave of absence, withdraws from the University, graduates, or receives a disciplinary sanction of demerit or dismissal following a resolution by the University's Student Disciplinary Committee.
III. Application Period 📅
August 24, 2026 (Monday) to September 18, 2026 (Friday), 12:00 noon
The online application system will close promptly at the deadline. Late applications will not be accepted.
Applicants are strongly advised to complete both the online application and the required hard-copy submission well before the deadline.

Step 3: Submit the Required Hard Copies to the Office of International Affairs
After completing the online application, please submit the following original hard-copy documents to the Office of International Affairs (OIA) before the application deadline:
- Original Application Form – must be personally signed by the applicant.
- Original Recommendation Letter – must be personally signed by the recommender.
All other supporting documents must be submitted electronically through the online application system.

Important Requirements for the Recommendation Letter
- Format: The official Recommendation Letter format provided by the Office of International Affairs must be used.
- Recommender: The recommender does not have to be the student's thesis advisor.
- Date: The Recommendation Letter must be signed and dated between July and September 2026.
- Signature: The recommender must sign the letter by hand. Digital or electronic signatures will not be accepted.
- Sealed Envelope: If the recommender has sealed the Recommendation Letter in an envelope, the applicant does not need to scan and upload the Recommendation Letter electronically. Only the original hard copy needs to be submitted.
VI. Important Notes & Q&A
1. Can I modify my application after submission?
Yes. If you discover an error after submitting the application, you may log in and modify your information before the application deadline.
However, uploaded files cannot be replaced or modified after submission. Please carefully check all documents before uploading them.
The information and documents recorded in the system after the deadline will be used as the final version for review.
2. Declaration of Authenticity
By submitting the application, applicants agree to the following declaration:
“I hereby certify that all information provided in the application form and all supporting documents, including the Recommendation Letter, are true and accurate. If any falsification or misrepresentation is discovered, I agree that the Office of International Affairs may cancel my scholarship eligibility and require me to return the full amount of the scholarship received.”
3. No Additional Notice for Missing Documents
Applicants will not be individually notified to submit missing documents.
Incomplete, unclear, or illegible documents may affect the evaluation results or may not be recognized.
Applicants are therefore strongly advised to carefully review all application materials before submission.
4. No Concurrent Scholarship Awards
This scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other government-funded or NTNU scholarships.
If an applicant is found to have received multiple scholarships concurrently in violation of the regulations, the University will recover the full amount of the scholarship already paid.
5. Email Notifications
All subsequent announcements and updates regarding the application will be sent via email.
Applicants are responsible for checking their email regularly. The University will not be responsible for any consequences arising from an applicant's failure to receive or review relevant notifications.
