★【Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship】 Application for the 113-2 National Taiwan Normal University Graduate School Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship (Deadline: March 4, 2025 – March 25, 2025, 12:00 PM)

Eligibility and Qualifications  

  1. According to the regulations for overseas Chinese students returning to study, outstanding students enrolled in doctoral or master's programs at the university for at least one semester, with an average GPA of 3.38 or above in the previous semester.
  2. Overseas Chinese students who have completed their required graduation credits and are currently writing their thesis, but only eligible to apply once. (The "Recommendation Letter" in the application materials must be completed by the thesis advisor.)
  3. Applicants who meet one of the above criteria, have no major disciplinary violations, and are not concurrently receiving other internal or government scholarships during the semester may apply for this scholarship.

Subsidy Principles  

  1. Number of awards and amount: Adjusted according to the subsidy allocated by the Ministry of Education for the semester.
  2. Award period: Issued for 6 months each time, from February 2025 to July 2025.
  3. Recipients who suspend, withdraw, graduate, or are subject to disciplinary actions resulting in a demerit or expulsion after approval will have their scholarships terminated.

From Thursday, March 4, 2025, to Thursday, March 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM.

(Online application. If the recommender for the "Recommendation Letter" has privacy concerns, the letter can be submitted in hard copy.)

Step 1.  Prepare the following materials before applying

Scan and merge the "Required Application Documents" below into one PDF file (name the file using the format "Student ID_Name").

Step 2.
Fill out the online "Application Form" and upload the PDF file prepared in Step 1.

1.

One copy of the Application Form

  1. Download from this announcement.
  2. Must be typed; signature must be handwritten. Submit to the department for stamping before proceeding to the International Office for final stamping.
  3. In the "Declaration" section of the application form, if applying for other scholarships and the result is uncertain before the deadline for this scholarship, you may sign and note: "Other awards are also being applied for." If multiple scholarships are awarded, one will be selected according to the exclusivity rule for scholarships.

1 letter of recommendation and relevant supporting documents

  1. Download from this announcement. (Please use the format specified by the International Office.)
  2. Limited to one letter.
  3. Recommender: Not limited to the thesis advisor.
  4. Recommendation letter must be written between January and March 2025.
  5. The recommendation letter includes a section on "Outstanding Performance in the Previous Semester" (must attach supporting documents in Chinese or English, indicating specific aspects of excellence). If no proof is submitted, the claim will not be recognized.

One copy of both sides of the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) or Taiwan ID card (must be valid).

Must be within the valid period

One copy of the bankbook cover

must be the applicant's account.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

If the recommendation letter needs to be submitted in person, please deliver it during the reception hours of Office of International Affair reception hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-12:00 / 13:30-17:00.

Important Notes

All eligible students may apply for this scholarship, and the review process will be handled by the International Office.

  1. After submitting the application form, a copy will be sent to the email address used for login. Please ensure to retain the copy. If not received, contact us to confirm the successful submission.
  2. Any updates will be communicated via email. Please pay close attention, as missing notifications affecting application rights will be the applicant's responsibility.
