Online Meeting between Thai Nguyen University of Education (TNUE) and NTNU
On May 25 2020, NTNU hold an online meeting with the Thai Nguyen University of Education (TNUE).
Thai Nguyen University of Education (TNUE) is located in Thai Nguyen city, Vietnam, and is one of the seven universities of the Thai Nguyen University system. TNUE is a university with more than 45,000 students in seven faculties (education, engineering, engineering, engineering, management, and humanities). Thai Nguyen University has a long history as a regional comprehensive university and is ranked among the top 5 universities in Vietnam with 7 campuses.
On March 22, 2019, Prof. Nguyen Thi Tinh, vice president of TNUE; Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Minh, Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages; Associate Vice President. Tu Quang Tan, Office of Academic Affairs and Ngo Giang Nam, Deputy Director of Personnel Office, had been to NTNU to discuss bilateral academic research cooperation and exchange. Since then, we have been in close contact with each other.
This time, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Minh, Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages, and Dr. Ôn Thị Mỹ Linh, Deputy Head, Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, from Thai Nguyen University of Education(TNUE) had a video online meeting with our Prof. Hsiang-LIn LIU, Vice President for International Affairs; Prof. Chiou-lan CHERN, Dean of College of Liberal Arts, and Prof. Chun-yin Doris CHEN, Chair of the Department of English, NTNU.
The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss the possibility of signing a 1+1 Master's Degree in English Language Teaching. The two schools also exchanged ideas on credit calculation, graduation thresholds, curricula and class scheduling. After the meeting, both sides had a preliminary understanding of each other's curriculum structure, and further discussions will be held after internal consultations.
