Sichuan University Visits NTNU

On October 25th, Prof. Shi-Jing Yan, the Vice President of Sichuan University and his four faulty members, Prof. Zong-Xian Huang, Prof. Si-Jie Zhang, Prof. Yi Huang, and Prof. Hu-Cheng Zhu visited NTNU. Prof. Chung-Mou Lee, Executive Vice President; Prof. Hsiang-Lin Liu, Vice President of Office of International Affairs; Prof. Lien-Tung Chuang, Chair of Department of Fine Arts; Prof. Yung-Yuan Yang, professor from Department of Fine Arts; and Prof. Wen-Zhong Gao, Dean of Extension, School of Continuing Education welcomed the guests in person.

Sichuan University has become partner school with NTNU since 2010, and both sides have had numerous academic cooperation since then. This time, the main purpose for their visit was to participate the “2018 Cross-Strait Star Art Painting Exhibition and Mental Development Academic Seminar” held by Department of Fine Arts of NTNU. During the courtesy call, Prof. Shi-Jing Yan mentioned about their international course week, which involves professors and students from different countries, and they welcome students from Taiwan to join this program. In addition, because of their similar academic background, both representatives look forward to further cooperation in related fields, such as art, physics, computer science and engineering in the future.

After the courtesy call, the guests visited Research Center for Conservation of Cultural Relics and Department of Fine Arts under the guidance of Prof. Lien-Tung Chuang and Prof. Yung-Yuan Yang, everyone had a great time in NTNU.
