University of Lille Delegation visits National Taiwan Normal University
On November 10, 2025, a delegation from the University of Lille visited National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). The delegation was led by Mr. Stéphane Thys, Director of International Outreach and Promotion, and accompanied by Ms. Arielle Meunier, International Strategic Partnerships Manager, and Mrs. Sasha Ting, Attachée for Science and University Cooperation at the French Office in Taipei.
Prior to this visit, the University of Lille and NTNU signed a university-level Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Building on this agreement, a student-exchange agreement (SEA) is currently in development, with expected approval from the University of Lille on November 27, 2025. Once finalized, the SEA will allow students from both universities to apply for student-exchange experiences beginning Spring 2026, with official exchange programs starting as early as Fall 2026.
During the meeting, both universities discussed key aspects of the student-exchange program, including the availability of English-taught courses (both universities offer a wide array of course selection), housing arrangements (both universities give priority to international students), and university support services (both universities offer cultural and emergency assistance). The discussions helped both sides gain a clear understanding of exchange protocols and administrative processes.
Through this meeting, NTNU and the University of Lille ensured that inbound and outbound students will receive proper support and guidance throughout their exchange semesters.
