Rissho University Delegation Visits NTNU
On November 3, 2025, a delegation from Rissho University visited National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). The delegation was led by Professor Zaizhe Wang, Vice President; Professor Giancarla Unser-Schutz, Director of the Center for International Exchange; Ms. Yuko Sato, Manager at the Center for International Exchange; and Associate Professor Miki Kobayashi from the Faculty of Economics.
The Japanese delegation was received by Professor Yi-De Liu, NTNU Vice President for International Affairs, and Professor Po-Hsiu Lin, Director of the Graduate Institute of Sport, Leisure, and Hospitality Management.
Associate Professor Miki Kobayashi, who is currently spending his sabbatical year at NTNU’s Graduate Institute of Sport, Leisure, and Hospitality Management, shared his positive experiences at NTNU with Rissho University, which inspired the delegation’s visit. The two institutions engaged in discussions on potential areas for collaboration and mutual development.
Both universities are exploring ways to expand their student populations, as Japan and Taiwan are beginning to experience the economic effects of declining birth rates. The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange insights on international collaboration and academic development, laying the groundwork for potential future cooperation.
