Universidad Rey Juan Carlos

La Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) es una de las seis universidades públicas de la Comunidad de Madrid. Su nombre es homenaje al Rey Juan Carlos I y fue creada por Ley 7/1996, de 8 de julio de 1996, con el lema latino Non nova, sed nove ("No cosas nuevas, sino de una manera nueva"). Su eslogan es Pública y preparada para ti.

Según los datos estadísticos oficiales del censo de la propia institución realizados en 2013, la URJC es la tercera universidad pública de la región en número de alumnos, con 35 877 estudiantes.3
