Chiba University The history of Chiba University, including predecessors, can be traced back about 140 years. As university charter “Always Aim Higher” implies, we strive to become a world-leading institution by working closely with students, faculty, administration, our local community, our country, and people all over the world. Today, with 9 faculties and 11 graduate schools, Chiba University is achieving that goal.
The incorporation of national universities in 2004 brought newfound freedom to Chiba University, yet it also presented a new set of challenges and obstacles. Faced with a wide range of problems including management issues, we had to ask ourselves some fundamental questions: What is the problem? What is our objective? What should we do? How do we evaluate the results? Overcoming these challenges require the cooperation of everyone involved with the university ranging from students to faculty and staff. This open-minded approach to problems is the most crucial asset of the university.
Chiba University fosters creative students who learn proactively and use their talents to make positive contributions to society. Results produced from their research are used to benefi t people throughout the world. Our university is continuously striving forward by creating new organizations to strengthen management and cultivating educational environments to achieve academic success. We view student activities with the highest regard.

The University of Ulsan (Hangul: 울산대학교) (UOU) was founded on February 1969 as the Ulsan Institute of Technology. The University was promoted to a full-fledged University on March 1, 1985. The university is located in Mugeo-dong, Ulsan, South Korea. The University currently has approximately 10,500 students enrolled.
The city of Ulsan has been recognized as the Korean city which was built around the corporate base of the multinational Hyundai conglomerate. Thus, the Hyundai Conglomerate announced its plan to give 40 billion won to assist a variety of university-industry cooperation projects.
This corporate relationship has helped turn the University into one of South Korea's top rated institutions for graduate job placement, as well as increasing its reputation more broadly as one of the top private universities outside of Seoul.
