Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University has become partner school with NTNU since 2000, and both sides have had numerous academic cooperation since then. This time, with its annual intensive cultural immersion program held in Taiwan, 300 first year students came to Taiwan to accomplish their mission in this program. They were assigned to visit various parts of Taiwan to learn from their intercultural experiences; also, by means of this program, they would have an opportunity to visit one Taiwanese partner university, which might motivate them to study in Taiwan for their student exchange program in the future. As one of the faculty members for this program, Prof. Yuichi Kondo came to Taiwan with his students to make sure their safety, and to visit partner universities to discuss about the student exchange program. Therefore, during the courtesy call, the two sides discussed about how to facilitate the student exchange program by matching similar departments and courses, hoping to attract more students of both universities to apply for the student exchange program. Everyone engaged in profound discussion, the guest had a great time in NTNU.
