Singapore Management University Visits NTNU

On May 23rd, Ms. Prof. Baihua Zheng, Associate Professor of Information Systems, Associate Dean (SIS Post-Graduate Research Programmes), Director, Master of Science in Computing, School of Information Systems; Mr. Prof. Rowan Wang, Assistant Professor of Operations Management, Lee Kong Chian School of Business; and Ms. Yong Fong Koh, Senior Manager, Student Development, Office of Postgraduate Research Programmes from Singapore Management University visited NTNU. Prof. Hsiang-Lin Liu, Vice President of Office of International Affairs; Prof. De-Wai Chou, Dean, College of Management; and Prof. Berlin Chen, Chair, Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering welcomed the guests in person.

Singapore Management University has become partner school with NTNU since 2005, and both sides have had numerous academic cooperation since then. The student exchange program is fairly popular for students in both universities, around 60 students already benefited from this program. This time, the main purpose for their visit was to promote their PhD program to students in NTNU, and to meet faculty members to explore other possibilities of cooperation in the future. During the courtesy call, the two sides had a better understanding of courses in both universities, they discussed about subjects like Cyber Security, Intelligent System & Optimization, Data Science & Engineering, and Software & Cyber-Physical System. Also, they exchanged ideas about how to increase the opportunities for students to connect with the industry. Everyone engaged in profound discussion.

Before their visit ended, the student ambassador showed the guests around the campus, they had a great time in NTNU.
