International Cooperation

On June 7th, the Assoc. Vice President for International Affairs, Office of International Affairs, and four other visitors of Central China Normal University visited NTNU. Prof. Kuang-Chao Yu, the Vice President for International Affairs, Office of International Affairs; Prof. Wen-Chung Kao, Dean of NTNU Extension, School of Continuing Education; Prof. Shu-Man Pan, Dean of College of International Studies and Social Sciences; Prof. Li-Kang Chi, Dean of College of Sports and Recreation, and Prof. Mei-Chun Lin, Chair of the Department of Physical Education, welcomed them in person.

Central China Normal University has become partner school with NTNU since 2011, and both sides have had numerous academic exchanges since then. During the courtesy call, the guests first met their exchange students from their university, then both representatives from their universities have a discussion on increasing academic cooperation in the future. For instance, Prof. Mei-Chun Lin mentioned that since NBA (National Basketball Association) is now holding the championship game, their Department has invited some experts to be the "sideline reporter", which means students from NTNU could watch the game, learn the professsional backgrounds or even obtain skills from the athletes, and get to know more friends who are also fond of sports. According to Prof. Mei-Chun Lin, students like such event so much that they hope the Department of Physical Education could also introduce FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) in the same way. Through such activity, students are able to transfer what they've learned in class into their own ability.

Before the courtesy call ended, the Assoc. Vice President for International Affairs, Office of International Affairs from Central China Normal University , emphasized that he looks forward to have more academic exchange with NTNU. If possible, in accordance to his words, he hopes that NTNU could visit their university in the near future.
